Overview
Langfuse is an open-source LLM engineering platform that helps teams develop, monitor, evaluate and debug AI applications. It can be self-hosted in minutes or used as Langfuse Cloud. Since January 2026 Langfuse has been part of ClickHouse.
What it does well
Langfuse traces LLM calls and app logic for observability, manages and versions prompts, runs evaluations (LLM-as-a-judge, code evaluators, user feedback), and keeps datasets for test sets and benchmarks. It includes an LLM playground and a comprehensive API for custom LLMOps workflows.
Why it’s in the collection
Langfuse is the most widely adopted open-source tool for seeing what your LLM app is actually doing in production. Its core is MIT-licensed.
