Overview
Documenso is an open-source platform for signing documents digitally. You upload a document, place fields and send it for signature, either self-hosted or on documenso.com. The project aims to be open, auditable infrastructure for digital signatures.
What it does well
Documenso is built with TypeScript, React Router and Prisma, and uses PDF signing libraries so signed documents can be verified. It can be self-hosted with Docker on your own Postgres database, and the code is open to read, audit and fork. An Enterprise plan is available for larger organisations.
Why it’s in the collection
Documenso is a polished, AGPL-licensed DocuSign alternative you can audit and run yourself. Signatures are trust infrastructure, so being able to read the code matters.
