Overview
DocuSeal is an open-source platform for digital document signing. You create PDF forms and send them to be filled in and signed online on any device, with a mobile-optimised signing experience. It can be self-hosted with Docker or used as a cloud service.
What it does well
DocuSeal offers 12 field types including signatures, dates, files and checkboxes, identity verification by SMS, and bulk sending from CSV or spreadsheet imports. Templates can be created from PDF or DOCX files or through an HTML API, and both the signing form and the form builder can be embedded in React, Vue, Angular or plain JavaScript apps. Files can be stored on disk, AWS S3, Google Cloud or Azure.
Why it’s in the collection
DocuSeal covers what most teams pay a per-envelope or per-seat fee for in e-signature tools, and you can run it on your own server. It is AGPL-licensed and easy to deploy.
