Overview
Keploy is an open-source API and integration testing tool that automatically generates tests and data mocks from real traffic. It records API calls, database queries and streaming events while your app runs, then replays them as tests, with no code changes. It uses eBPF to capture traffic at the network level.
What it does well
With Keploy you run your app with keploy record and real API and integration flows become tests and mocks. Beyond HTTP, it records databases such as Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB and queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, then replays them deterministically so tests run without setting up infrastructure. It reports both code coverage and API and business-flow coverage, and fits into CI pipelines.
Why it’s in the collection
Keploy makes high test coverage cheap by turning the traffic your app already handles into a test suite, which is especially handy as more code is written by AI. It is Apache-licensed.
