Overview
TinaCMS is an open-source headless content management system that stores content as Markdown, MDX, JSON or YAML files in your Git repository. It adds a visual editor with live preview so less technical people can edit sites built by developers.
What it does well
TinaCMS lets developers query content with a typed GraphQL API, supports statically generated and server-rendered pages, and handles references between documents. Editors get an intuitive visual editing experience, while every change is a commit in Git. TinaCloud offers an optional hosted backend.
Why it’s in the collection
TinaCMS keeps content in your repository, so there is no separate database to manage or lose, and editors still get a friendly interface. It is Apache-licensed.
