Overview
Plausible is an open-source, privacy-first web analytics tool. It is a lightweight, cookie-free alternative to Google Analytics, available as a managed cloud service hosted in the EU or as a self-hosted community edition.
What it does well
Plausible shows all key metrics on a single page with no training needed. It stores no personal data or IP addresses and uses no cookies, so it is compliant with GDPR, CCPA and PECR. Its script is tiny, it supports goals, funnels, revenue attribution and custom events, and it can import data from Google Analytics and show Search Console keywords.
Why it’s in the collection
Plausible proved that useful analytics don't need cookies or tracking individuals. It is simple to use, respects your visitors, and you can host it yourself under the AGPL.
