KeePassXC

Overview
KeePassXC is a modern, secure and open-source password manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. It stores your passwords in an encrypted database file on your own device, in the KeePass-compatible KDBX format, with no account or cloud service involved.
What it does well
KeePassXC includes a password generator, TOTP codes, YubiKey and OnlyKey challenge-response, auto-type, and browser integration for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave and others, including passkeys. It can import from 1Password, Bitwarden, Proton Pass, KeePass 1 and CSV. Database reports flag weak or breached passwords, and it adds file attachments, entry history, a command-line interface and SSH agent integration.
Why it’s in the collection
KeePassXC keeps your passwords in a file only you control, with no subscription and no server to trust. It has been awarded a security certification by France's national cybersecurity agency (ANSSI).
