LiveKit

Overview
LiveKit is an open-source platform for building voice, video and physical AI agents. This repository is the LiveKit server: a scalable, distributed WebRTC media server that moves realtime audio, video and data between people, devices and AI models. It is written in Go, and you can self-host it or use LiveKit Cloud.
What it does well
LiveKit provides SDKs for web, mobile and backend platforms, and the LiveKit Agents framework for building realtime voice agents with speech-to-text, LLMs, text-to-speech and turn detection. The server scales across many nodes to handle large rooms and many concurrent sessions. The same stack powers video calls, livestreams and voice AI applications.
Why it’s in the collection
LiveKit is the open-source foundation behind a large share of today's voice AI products, and you can run all of it yourself. It is Apache-licensed.
