Overview
Saleor is an open-source, headless commerce platform with a GraphQL API. It is API-only: everything is configured and extended through its API, so you can build storefronts and integrations in whatever language and stack you prefer. A separate dashboard and storefront are available as their own projects, and a hosted Saleor Cloud is also offered.
What it does well
Saleor supports multiple currencies, languages and warehouses, a rich product model for large catalogs, and a flexible order model with split payments and returns. It includes a promotion engine with sales, vouchers, cart rules and gift cards, payment orchestration across multiple gateways, built-in content management and fully translatable catalogs. Its headless design leaves you free to handle SEO and the frontend your way.
Why it’s in the collection
Saleor is a strong choice for teams that want commerce as a clean API rather than a monolithic store. It is BSD-licensed and used by large brands.
