Overview
Mole is an open-source command-line toolkit for macOS that cleans caches and leftovers, uninstalls apps completely, analyses disk usage and monitors your system. The CLI is open source; Mole for Mac, a separate native app, is sold by the same developer.
What it does well
Mole combines tasks usually spread across several Mac utilities in one terminal command: a deep clean of caches, logs and orphaned app data; an uninstaller that removes apps together with their leftovers; an interactive disk analyser; system maintenance such as flushing DNS; and a live dashboard of CPU, memory, disk and network. It supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 12 or newer.
Why it’s in the collection
Mole replaces a handful of paid Mac utilities with one small, transparent tool, and you can preview what it will delete before it does. The CLI is GPL-licensed and installs with Homebrew.
