Overview

NanoClaw is a lightweight, open-source AI assistant that runs its agents securely in their own containers. It offers the core functionality of OpenClaw in a codebase small enough to understand, one process and a handful of files, so you can see and customize exactly what it does.

What it does well

Each NanoClaw agent runs in its own Linux container with filesystem isolation, rather than relying only on permission checks. A setup script takes you from a fresh machine to a named agent you can message, installing what's needed along the way. In Slack, each agent gets its own app, bot identity, container and memory, and you can spawn new teammates from chat.

Why it’s in the collection

NanoClaw is built for people who want a personal AI agent but don't want to hand software they can't understand full access to their life. It is MIT-licensed.
