Overview
Pulumi is an open-source infrastructure as code tool that lets you define and deploy cloud infrastructure in general-purpose programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, C#, Java and YAML. It provisions and manages resources on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes and more than 300 other providers.
What it does well
Because infrastructure is written in real code, you can use loops, functions, classes, package managers, tests and IDE tooling instead of a separate configuration language. Pulumi previews changes before applying them and tracks the state of your resources. A hosted Pulumi Cloud adds team features, but the core tool is open source and works on its own.
Why it’s in the collection
Pulumi lets software teams manage infrastructure with the same languages and practices they use for everything else. It is Apache-licensed.
