Overview
Kortix calls itself an AI operating system: your agents, the skills they share, company memory and connectors all live in one Git repository you own. Agents work on isolated cloud computers, one sandbox per session on its own branch, and deliver finished work such as reports, code and replies.
What it does well
Kortix runs agents in Slack or Microsoft Teams, background coding agents with a branch and change request per task, and scheduled or webhook-triggered automations. It includes per-tool rules, approval gates, an audit trail and single sign-on for governance. It works with any model and your own API keys, on your own infrastructure or Kortix's managed cloud.
Why it’s in the collection
Kortix is a serious attempt at a team-wide agent platform you control, with everything versioned in Git rather than locked inside a model provider. Its license has conditions, explained below.
License
Kortix is under the Elastic License 2.0. You can use, change and self-host it, including inside your company, but you can't offer it to others as a hosted or managed service, so it's source-available rather than open source.
